Time Blast!
Playabit
I led the development of Time Blast! for six months as the sole developer, establishing a solid foundation before additional developers joined the project. In this period, I designed and implemented the core mechanics that define the game, focusing on delivering smooth, engaging player experiences and maximizing performance. I also developed a suite of internal tools to streamline workflows and enhance team efficiency, setting up a scalable framework for future content and feature expansions.
Throughout the project, I worked on nearly all aspects of the game, with a hands-on approach across a diverse range of features. With SOLID principles as a guiding standard, I built key gameplay systems, including internal level editor, gravity dynamics, input handling, damage and destruction, booster functionality, obstacle mechanics, special item interactions, and tutorials, ensuring each component aligned with a cohesive player experience. My work also extended to management systems, where I developed pooling mechanisms, addressable asset management, remote asset configurations, vibration feedback, and more, all critical to maintaining fluid gameplay and robust performance.
In addition to gameplay systems, I contributed to the design and implementation of meta events, adding lasting engagement to the player experience. Notably, I fully implemented the "Pirate Island" event, a popular feature that added unique challenges and rewards. My role in these elements further enriched the game’s depth, adding layers of player progression and interaction beyond the core mechanics.
